Once you’ve gotten your invitations back from the printer and had the envelopes addressed, it’s time for the task of stuffing them. This can be a daunting task, since the number of inserts seems endless! “What order do they go in, anyway…?”
When assembling your invitation package, always start with the invitation itself, since this is the main attraction and also the largest piece of stationery. If you have tissue paper, one piece is used to cover the face of the invitation. Then, begin piling the inserts on in size order – these may include directions to the reception hall or hotel accommodation info. Finally, the smallest components should be the reception card and the response card with self addressed, stamped envelope; put these on top and you are ready to go.
Sometimes it can be fun to assemble the invites together with your parents or your bridesmaids. As some brides have commented on Weddingbee, this may be something to get your future spouse involved in, and it will take time. But in case your time is limited and you don’t relish the thought of spending the weekends leading up to the big day stuffing envelopes, ask your calligrapher if this is a service he or she provides.
